Combined SafariDay 1: Nairobi
Pick up from the airport on arrival and transfer you to Boulevard hotel
for overnight stay
Day 2: Samburu National Reserve
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to the north rugged semi desert
region arriving in time for lunch at lodge. Afternoon game drive. Dinner
and overnight at Samburu Ashnil Camp
Day 3: Samburu
Morning and afternoon game drive inside the park search for the stars of
Samburu rarely found elsewhere like the reticulated giraffe, grevy’s
zebra, Beisa Oryx, gerenuk. In between meals optional visit to Samburu
villages. All meals and overnight at Samburu Ashnil Camp.
Day 4: Aberdares ( Tree tops )
Morning game drive at Samburu followed by breakfast and depart for
Aberdares at the shoulders of mount Kenya arriving for lunch at Outspan
hotel. Afternoon transfer for dinner and overnight at Treetops Lodge.
Game viewing at the floodlit waterhole and saltlick.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park
Breakfast at Aberdares and depart for Lake Nakuru, which is on the floor
of the great Rift Valley. Stopping at the Thomson Falls in Nyahururu, to
arrive Nakuru for lunch at the Flamingo Hill Camp. Afternoon game drive
in lake Nakuru national park. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp
Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Kigio Conservancy
You’ll have an early morning game drive in lake Nakuru national park and
return to the lodge for breakfast. You’ll thereafter depart Nakuru and
drive a short distance to Gilgil to arrive at the Kigio Wildlife Camp
inside the Kigio Conservancy. Lunch will be at the camp followed by an
afternoon game drive. You’ll also have 1 night game drive and retire in
the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Kigio – Lake Naivasha ( Hell’s Gate)
Breakfast t the camp and exit the conservancy and drive to Lake Naivasha
– we arrive Fish Eagle Lodge in good time for lunch – proceed for an
afternoon visit to the adjacent Hells gate national park. This park can
be explored on foot or by cycling- bicycles are available for hire at an
extra cost. Hells gate national park is characterized by diverse
topography and geological scenery. It has historically been an important
home for the rare lammergeyer vultures, but it is now thought that the
famous pair of birds may not have nested in the park for several years.
One is encouraged to hike and cycle in the park. This is a rarity in
Kenyan National Parks, and is only made possible due to the lack of
large game such as lions and Elephants
Day 8: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara
Breakfast at lodge and depart for Masai Mara, crossing the Loita plains
arriving in Masai Mara in good time for lunch at the Mara Kichakani
Camp. Take an afternoon game drive in the park and return to the lodge
for dinner and overnight..

Day 9: Maasai Mara
Full days spent exploring the park in search of the Big 5 with a
possibility of seeing the rare black rhinos and the leopards .Optional
hot air Balloon can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person
.Dinner and overnight stay at Kichakani Camp
The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular game
sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya.
The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great extent in this reserve.
Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara. The reserve
abounds with birdlife since dose to about 452 species have been
recorded. Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park
Day 10: Maasai Mara – Musoma- Serengeti
Early breakfast then exit the park and drive to Serengeti via Sirari
boarder with packed lunches. Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti stop
over lodge
Day 11: Serengeti National park
The day will be spent viewing game in the mighty Serengeti national park
Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Ikoma Safari Camp
Day 12: Serengeti
An other day of game viewing in the Serengeti with dinner and Overnight
at the Serengeti Ikoma Safari Camp .
Serengeti is Africa’s most famous and Tanzania’s largest park covering
14,736 sq km and is adjoining with the Masai Mara National reserve in
Kenya. With a wildebeest population of about 2 million and several other
hoofed species (which include zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi,
Grants gazelle, Kongoni, Eland, Kirk’s dik dik, klipspringer, roan,
Oryx, oribi, waterbuck, buffalo, giraffe and warthog), it is sure to
attract a string of prey such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, golden
jackals and bat eared foxes. Elephants are relatively scarce and the few
remaining black rhinoceros are restricted to the Moru Koppies area
Day 13: Serengeti - Ngorongoro
We view game as we drive southeast via the Olduvai Gorge a prehistoric
site by found by the Archeologist Leaky family., up into the magnificent
Ngorongoro Conservation area. Descend 2000ft in to the Ngorongoro crater
.Full afternoon crater tour followed by dinner and overnight stay at a
Bougainvillea Safari Lodge
The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at
8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently
described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its
geological magnificence, but also because it serves as an extraordinary
natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s largest populations of large
mammals. Ngorongoro and other freestanding mountains are volcanic in
origin, formed during the fracturing process that created the Rift
valley 15 to 20 million years ago. When it peaked in size 3 million
years ago it was a similar height to Mt. Kilimanjaro today
Day 14: Ngorongoro - Tarangire
Depart the lodge soon after breakfast and proceed to Tarangire national
park with packed lunches for a full day game drives. Dinner and
overnight stay at Tarangire Sopa Lodge
Herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry river bed for underground
streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle,
hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. It's the greatest
concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem - a
smorgasbord for predators – and the one place in Tanzania where
dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared Oryx and peculiar
long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed
Day 15: Tarangire – Lake Manyara
You’ll depart Tarangire and drive to lake manyara national park. This
unique park is famed for the tree climbing lions. Thousands of
flamingoes also reside in this shallow alkaline lake. Dinner and
overnight at the Lake Manyara Hotel.
Day 16: Lake Manyara – Lake Eyasi – Arusha
You’ll depart lake manyara with picnic lunches and drive to the lake
Eyasi where the local tribesmen (The Bushmen) Hadzabe people leave.
You’ll visit their villages and thereafter drive to Arusha for dinner
and overnight at the Kibo Palace Hotel.
Day 17: Arusha – Zanzibar
Breakfast at leisure then depart the lodge and drive to Kilimanjaro
airport to catch your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival you will be
transferred to Ocean Paradise beach hotel for overnight stay
Day 18-21: Zanzibar
At leisure with optional activities
Day 22: Zanzibar-Dar es Salaam/Arusha
Depart Zanzibar to arrive Dar es Salaam or Arusha in good connecting
time to your home bound flight. |
