25 Days African Safari Gorilla Tracking Uganda Kampala

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
We depart Nairobi soon after breakfast and drive into the Great Rift Valley to the world famous Maasai Mara game reserve to arrive in good time for Lunch at the Enchoro Wildlife Camp. Take an afternoon game drive followed by dinner and overnight stay at the Camp

Day 2 & 3: Masai Mara
Both days spent exploring the park in search of the big 5 - Optional balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Enchoro Camp

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. This happens between July & October

Day 4: Masai Mara Lake Naivasha

Take an early morning game drive in the park and return to the camp for breakfast and thereafter depart masai Mara for Lake Naivasha. Arrival will be in good time for lunch at the Cray Fish Camp. Afternoon can be spent visiting the Hell’s Gate National park for a walk or bicycle riding, an optional boat ride in the lake can be arranged. Dinner and overnight at the Crayfish camp

Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru
Depart Lake Naivasha in the morning and make a short drive west to lake Nakuru national park. Lunch will be at the WCK Guest house inside the park. Take an afternoon game drive in this park which is famed for abundance in wildlife and various species of birds which resides in the lake. The main attraction in the lake is the thousands of flamingoes which live in the lake. The park is also a rhino sanctuary.
Dinner and overnight will be at the guest house.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Lake Bogoria – Lake Baringo

Depart Lake Nakuru in the morning and drive North past the Menengai Crater into the Volcanic active Lake Bogoria National reserve. The main attraction here is the Hot springs (Geysers). Animals to be found here the rare grater Kudu antelopes and occasional leopard. After visiting Lake Bogoria you’ll exit the park and proceed further North to the Lake Baringo. An optional boat trip around the lake to see hippos and birds can be arranged. You can as well visit the local Jemps community in the island. Dinner and overnight will be at the Roberts Camp.

Day 7: Lake Baringo – Samburu

Depart after breakfast and drive south crossing the Equator to Nakuru and further through the Thomson Falls in Nyahururu and further north into the Semi arid Samburu game reserve. Game viewing will be enroute to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Samburu
The whole day will be spent in Samburu with early morning and afternoon game drives offered. Optional visits to the local Samburu villages can be arranged. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

Day 9: Samburu – Mt Kenya
Breakfast then view game as we exit the park and drive to Mount Kenya Region. Lunch at Mountain Rock campsite then proceed for afternoon game drives at Sweetwater’s sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at the camp

Sweetwater’s is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated rhino sanctuary

Day 10: Mt Kenya - Amboseli
Depart after breakfast with picnic lunches and drive via Nairobi proceeding further to the Amboseli national park at the base of Mt Kilimanjaro arriving in the late evening at the Amboseli kibo safari Camp for Dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Amboseli
Depart the camp after breakfast and spend the whole morning viewing game in this unique park. Lunch will be at the camp. An afternoon siesta to take a rest and another game drive will be at 4 pm. Dinner and overnight will be at the Kibo Safari camp.

Day 12: Amboseli – Tsavo West
We depart kibo safari camp with packed lunches after breakfast for Tsavo West National Park and a stop-over is made at Mzima Springs, the source of most of Mombassa’s fresh water; you can walk down to an underwater observation chamber where it is literally possible to watch hippo or crocodile swim along the floor of this crystal clear spring. We will proceed with a full day game viewing, with a stop at the scenic “poacher’s lookout “ post to have our picnic lunches. Tsavo is particularly famous for its large herds of the ‘Red elephants’ of Tsavo. Dinner and overnight will be at the KWS public campsite

Day 13: Tsavo West – Tsavo East
After breakfast depart Tsavo West and drive across to the Tsavo East national park whose boundary is the Nairobi / Mombasa main road. Spent the whole day game viewing. Dinner and overnight at the Ndololo KWS campsite.

Day 14: Tsavo East - Aberdares
Early morning game drive and the depart Tsavo East with picnic lunches and drive to the Central Kenya highland via Nairobi arriving in the Aberdares national park in the evening. Dinner and overnight will be at a campsite inside the Aberdares national park.

Day 15: Aberdares – Nairobi
Take a morning game drive in Aberdares visiting the waterfalls and the dense equatorial forests and thereafter depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Drop off will be at the Kenya comfort hotel where you’ll be booked on bed & breakfast.

Day 16: Nairobi – Arusha
Depart Nairobi and drive south to the Kenya Tanzania border town of namanga for immigration formalities to enter Tanzania. Proceed further to Arusha. Drop off will be at a budget hotel where you’ll be booked on Bed & breakfast.

Day 17: Arusha – Lake Manyara
You’ll be picked up at 0730 hrs and drive west to the lake manyara national park. Arrival will be in good time for lunch at the Twiga (giraffe) campsite. Take an afternoon game drive in the park, which is famed for the ‘tree climbing’ lions. Dinner and overnight will be at the Twiga campsite

Day 18: Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro
You’ll do a morning game drive in Lake Manyara and depart for the world famous Ngorongoro Crater which has been classified as a UN world heritage site. You’ll descend 2000 ft into the Crater for a full day game viewing drive. You’ll drive out of the crater and go to Simba (lion) campsite on the rim of the crater for dinner and overnight.

Day 19: Ngorongoro – Serengeti
Depart after breakfast and drive further west to the world famous Serengeti National Park. Arrival will be for lunch at the Seronera public campsite. Take an afternoon game drive and return to the campsite at sunset for dinner and overnight.

Day 20: Serengeti national park
The whole day will be spent exploring this vast park, which is home to all ‘The Big Fives’. Dinner and overnight will be at the campsite.

Day 21: Serengeti – Tarangire
After breakfast at the camp depart Serengeti with game viewing enroute exit through the Naabi gate and drive to the Tarangire national park. Of all the national parks in the northern circuit of Tanzania, Tarangire national park is the remotest and much drier. Here, big herds of elephants roam the wild. Take an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at a campsite just outside Tarangire national park.

Day 22: Tarangire – Arusha – Nairobi
Depart in the morning and drive back to Arusha to board your afternoon shuttle bus to Nairobi arriving in the late evening. Drop off will be at the Comfort inn Nairobi for overnight. You’ll be booked on bed & breakfast.

Day 23: Nairobi – Entebbe – Bwindi National park
You’ll be transferred to the airport for your morning flight to Entebbe, where upon arrival you’ll be picked up and start the journey to the impenetrable Bwindi national park. Dinner and overnight at a campsite.

Day 24: Gorilla tracking (Bwindi national park)
An early morning set off for gorilla tracking and returns to the camp in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 25: Bwindi – Kampala
Depart Bwindi national park in the morning and drive back to Kampala arriving in the afternoon where the safari will end.
