Kenya Wildlife Safaris
-
Best of Kenya wildlife lodge safari sampling the most famous game
parks and sceneries. A combination of wildlife, bird watching and
sceneries of Kenya the land of beauty. A safari to the Lake Nakuru
bird sanctuary, Masai Mara for the big 5 and the annual wilder
beast migration, to the foot hills of Mt. Kilimanjaro better viewed
from Amboseli and
finally to Tsavo national parks where you find big herds of
Elephants and breath taking sceneries.
Day 1: Nairobi
Pick up from Jomo Kenyatta Airport and transfer to a city hotel for
overnight.
Day 2: Amboseli
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive via Namanga on the Tanzania
border to reach Amboseli early in the afternoon. We view game as we
proceed towards Amboseli Lodge for dinner and overnight. This small
park (at 392 sq km) is the second most popular park in Kenya after
Masai Mara, mainly due to the spectacular backdrop of Mt.
Kilimanjaro on the southern boundary.

The waters from melted snow drain down the mountain under lava flows
and surface on the Amboseli plains, creating a green belt of
swampland amidst dusty plains. Here elephant, buffalo, lion,
cheetah, wildebeest, hyena, jackal, warthogs, zebra and the Masai
giraffe are likely to be seen.
Day 3: Amboseli/Tsavo West
We leave soon after breakfast for Tsavo West National Park. Visit
the Chyulu Hills and the Mzima Springs, which are favorite haunts of
both the hippo and crocodile that can be seen from an underwater
observation chamber if time permits. Dinner and overnight at Ngulia
Lodge.
Tsavo is the largest national park in Kenya
(at 22,000 sq km). Tsavo West covers a wide variety of
landscapes, from swamps and natural springs to rocky peaks,
extinct volcanic cones and rolling plains. The dramatic
Chyulu Hills are a collection of ancient volcanic cinder
cones with splendid views of Kilimanjaro and populations of
elands, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest.
-
Day 4 Tsavo West/Naivasha
Breakfast at leisure before
driving to Lake Naivasha. A visit to the hells gate national park
this park can be explored on foot or you could also cycle around the
park Optional boat ride to Crescent Island can be arranged .Dinner
and overnight at Panorama Hotel.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru
Depart and drive to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch with an
afternoon game drive.
-
-
The park covers 180 sq km and is home to warthogs, waterbuck,
buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard. White and black
rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you will find
white rhino at the southern end. The park has also retained its
reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species
of bird found here. We spend the night at a Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 6: Nakuru/Masai Mara
Breakfast then view game as we exit the park and drive to via the
Great Rift Valley to arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch at a
Lodge. Full afternoon game drive till dusk when we return to the
lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Keekorok Lodge/Sopa lodge.
-

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is
difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded
here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles,
giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals,
wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the
natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions
of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of
water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the
savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures
Day 7: Masai Mara
The next two days shall be spent viewing game, in the early morning
hours and in the evenings as this is when we have the best chances
of seeing wildlife. The ultimate action here is without doubt the
annual wildebeest exodus in July and August when millions of these
grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass
before turning south again in October. Hot air balloon safari can be
arranged and a visit to Masai villages for cultural treat at an extra cost.
Day 8: Masai Mara/Departure
After a final early morning game drive we depart for Nairobi
via Narok town arriving in the afternoon.
