Day 1: Arrival
Meet you at Jomo Kenyatta international airport and transfer you to The
Nairobi Serena lodge for overnight stay.
Day 2: Nairobi – Samburu game reserve
Pick up from your hotel at 0730 hrs. and depart for the dramatic
semi-arid scrub land of the Northern Frontier. Arrival in Samburu will
be by lunch time. After lunch embark on a game drive to sight resident
wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx
and the Blue-necked Somali Ostrich that are rare elsewhere in the
country. Dinner and overnight will be at the spectacular Samburu Serena
Lodge or samburu lodge (Meal Plan - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve
Full Day spent exploring the park. Dinner and overnight stay at Samburu
Serena Lodge or Samburu lodge ( Meal Plan - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
The highlights of Samburu game reserve is the spectacular scenic beauty,
rivers and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and
colorful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a
wealth of wildlife which includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion,
reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro
River. Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the
sanctuaries.
Day 4: Samburu – Lake Nakuru National park
after breakfast departs for Lake Nakuru. Arrival will be in time for
lunch at your lodge, located inside the Lake Nakuru National Park. In
the afternoon you will embark on a game drive where you will have the
opportunity to spot leopards, rhino and the famous pink flamingos as
well as a variety of other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and the over
400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the
floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of
flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed
in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for
endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black
and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck.
Day 5 : Lake Nakuru- Maasai Mara
After breakfast departs for Maasai Mara - the land of vast migrating
animals. Arrival will be in time for lunch. After lunch embark on a game
drive. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge / Keekorok Lodge. (Meal

Day 6/7: Maasai Mara Game reserve
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the Big 5. Dinner and
overnight at a lodge

The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular game
sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya.
The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great extent in this reserve.
Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara. A spectacle
worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra
and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the
Mara River to reach Maasai Mara grazing fields from late June. The
dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by
predators can be viewed from early July to August. The reserve abounds
with birdlife since dose to about 452 species have been recorded. Hot
air balloon safaris are readily available in this park
Day 8 Day Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast descend down towards the Great Rift Valley. Arrival at
Lake Naivasha will be in time for a delicious lunch at the Lake Naivasha
Country Club or similar. The remainder of the afternoon will be at your
leisure, with the opportunity of going on a nature walk, hiring a boat
to take you the famous Crescent Island, or simply relaxing by the

Day 9: Lake Naivasha - Amboseli
After breakfast, drive past the scenic Athi Plains and into the bushy
country of Amboseli National Park - a landscape dominated by the
spectacular snowcaps of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrival will be in time for
lunch at your chosen lodge / tented camp. After lunch and a few hours of
rest, embark on a game drive at the foot of Africa's highest mountain.
Dinner and overnight will be at the Amboseli Serena lodge or Oltukai

Day 10: Amboseli National park
Full day in this photogenic park. Morning and afternoon game drives.

Amboseli means ‘the place of water’ in Maasai language. The park has an
endless supply of water which is filtered through thousands of meters of
volcanic rock from Mount Kilimanjaro. Animal species seen include
elephant, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala and leopard. The birdlife
seen here includes pelican, bee eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle
and pygmy falcon. Amboseli is one of the most popular parks and offers
excellent accommodation facilities.
Day 11 Amboseli - Lake Manyara
After breakfast, we drive into Tanzania via the Namanga border. We also
pass through Arusha for lunch and proceed to Lake Manyara National park
with Regardless of the direction we approach Manyara from, the view is
always fantastic. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena lodge

Lake Manyara
is a shallow, alkaline lake that is part of the Rift Valley wall; the
lake is at the base of this dramatic western escarpment giving it a
beautiful and serene setting. In addition to this peaceful setting, Lake
Manyara’s main attractions are its rich bird life, tree climbing lions
and its hippos, which you can see at a closer range than many other
places. Lake Manyara also hosts thousands of flamingos at certain times
of the year and has diverse vegetation ranging from savannah, to marshes
and acacia woodland, enabling a variety of wildlife habitats including
butterflies.
Day 12 Lake Manyara - Serengeti National park
We enjoy a refreshing early morning game-drive in Lake Manyara National
Park followed by breakfast in the cool morning air. We then drive to the
great Serengeti National Park game viewing and with a picnic lunch
enroute. Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Sopa Lodge . The
following day is spent leisurely viewing game. (Meal Plan - Breakfast,

Day 13: Serengeti National park
Full day spent exploring the park. Morning and afternoon game drives are

Serengeti is Africa’s most famous and Tanzania’s largest park covering
14,736 sq km and is adjoining with the Masai Mara National reserve in
Kenya. With a wildebeest population of about 2 million and several other
hoofed species (which include zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi,
Grants gazelle, Kongoni, Eland, Kirk’s dik dik, klipspringer, roan,
Oryx, oribi, waterbuck, buffalo, giraffe and warthog), the Serengeti is
sure to attract a string of prey such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena,
golden jackals and bat eared foxes. Elephants are relatively scarce and
the few remaining black rhinoceros are restricted to the Moru Koppies
area.
Serengeti also offers rewarding bird viewing with ostrich and kori
bustard being common, a variety of larks, finches, and raptors can be
seen but the most distinctive small bird is the lilac breasted roller.
Day 14 - Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge
After an early breakfast, we drive south to the magnificent Ngorongoro
crater via the historical Olduvai Gorge whilst game watching only
interrupted by a Packed lunches enroute. We stop and set camp at the
Ngorongoro sopa lodge .(Meal Plan - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at
8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently
described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its
geological magnificence, but also because it serves as an extraordinary
natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s largest populations of large
mammals.
The Olduvai Gorge cuts through rock beds layered in time sequence from 2
million years ago to the present. It is here where humanoid bones have
been found dating back to over 1.75 million years including a direct
ancestor of modern man. Fossil footprints (over three million years old)
have also been found here and are the most ancient footprints yet
discovered. There is an excellent site museum where you can explore the
diggings with a guide and it is also a great place to view birds.
Day 15- Ngorongoro- Arusha
Morning crater tour then proceed to Arusha with packed lunches. Dinner
and overnight at a Kibo Palace Hotel
Day 16 Arusha- Nairobi- Kampala
Board a Nairobi bound shuttle bus and drive to Nairobi – to arrive at
1400 hrs. Drop off at Jomo Kenyatta international airport to board your
Kampala bound flight. On arriving Entebbe, our representative will meet
you and drive you to a city hotel for overnight stay.
Day 17 : Kampala Bwindi
Morning departure for the south with stops at the craft village at the
Uganda Equator for pictures and shopping. After lunch at the Lakeview
hotel in Mbarara, proceed through the beautiful evergreen mountain
country referred to as the "Little Switzerland". Arrive late evening for
dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort Camp and Lodge. (Meal Plan -
Lunch and Dinner). transit time 8 - 10 hours
Day 18 : Gorilla Tracking
Briefing by park ranger guides. Later
with picnic lunch, start 30 minutes - 8 hours trek to find the Mountain
gorillas. The tracking starts at the area where the gorillas were the
previous day. After a full hour with the gorillas, return to your
accommodations for dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort
Camp and Lodge. (Meal Plan - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).
Day 19: Kampala
Transfers to Mbarara for lunch, later depart for Kampala. Transit time 8
- 10 hours. Overnight stay at a Hotel- (Meal Plan - Breakfast, Lunch and
Dinner)
Day 20 : Departure
Transfer to the airport to board your Nairobi bound flight arriving in
good connecting time with your home bound flight.
