Much more scenic than Naromoru and it is on the dry side of mountain
which offers some of the finest walking. Climb up through forest into a
wide ridge approach to the summit area. The route starts on the
northwest side of the mountain near Nanyuki. Access is adequate and the
bunk house facilities are the best on this side of the mountain

Day 1: Nanyuki - Sirimon Park Gate- Old Moses Camp
After breakfast transfer to the park gate where, after checking in, we
commence our hike accompanied by the guide, cook and porters. Our trek
goes through the rain forest made up of bamboo, rosewood and other
vegetation to Old Moses Camp at 3,300 meters. From the gate to the
mountain hut is a 3 hours hike that covers nine kilometers. Dinner and
overnight
Day 2: Old Moses - Ship tons Camp
Our six to seven hours trek takes us through heath and moorland where
wildlife abounds and comprise of buffalo, rock hyrax and dik dik. We
reach Ship tons Camp at an altitude of 4,200 m for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Ship tons Camp
After breakfast you may take an acclimatization hike to Hausberg col
(4,700m) before coming back to Ship tons for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Mackinders Camp.
An early morning start for Point Lenana (4,985 m) which is reached just
before sunrise - this is an ascent of about 800 meters in three and
half-hours. Descend via the Lewis Glacier to the Austrian Hut (4,790 m)
and continue to Mackinders Camp (4,200m) for overnight. The descent from
Point Lenana to Mackinders takes about two hours.
Day 5: Nairobi
After breakfast at 8.00 am we cross the vertical bog to the road head
where we are picked up for our transfer to our base hotel for showers
and lunch. In the afternoon we drive to Nairobi where our hike
terminates with a drop at your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 6: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to the Great Rift Valley viewing
sceneries en route arriving to the Pink Lake often referred so due to
its Great masses of Flamingos. After lunch proceed for game drive in the
Park with numerous Animals. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru guest
house
Lake Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and the over
400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the
floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of
flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed
in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for
endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black
and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents
here.
Day 7: Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara
Morning game drive, Watch and photograph Birds and Animals, breakfast
and depart for Maasai Mara, Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game
drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Enchoro camp.
Day 8 &9: Masai Mara
Two full days exploring the Maasai Mara National Park. Morning and
afternoon game drive. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at
an extra cost of US$ 450 per person .Meals and overnight at Enchoro camp
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is
difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded
here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe,
wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs,
buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the
Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes
place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra
from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following
on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild
dog, jackal, hyena and vultures
Day10: Masai Mara - Nairobi
Morning game drive then return to the campsite for breakfast .We drive
back through the Masai town of Narok and stop for some souvenir
shopping, before continuing across the plains to Nairobi arriving at
about 1300hrs with lunch at the Carnivore on Afripotsafaris account and
later proceed to Karen Blixen and Giraffe centre. Drop at your hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 11: Nairobi- Mombasa
Transfer to the airport to board you home bound flight or the Train rail
station to board your Mombasa bound train. Could book domestic
one-way/return flights to/from Mombasa or drop off Mombasa by Shuttle
bus.
